Student VISA Consultant

Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) is a leading higher education institute established in 2010 to offer world-class job-oriented degree pathway programmes in various disciplines in Sri Lanka to enter Graduate and Post Graduate courses in reputed foreign universities with special reference to Massey University, New-Zealand.

We have a vacancy for a visa counsellor who can work with our recruitment team to support for direct and pathway overseas education service at our campus in Nugegoda. Visa Counsellor needs to manage visa related queries and should be able to manage all visa related matters of our current students who need to transfer to Massey University in New Zealand.

We need someone who has at least 2 years of experience handling student visa to support our students with direct and pathway transfers to overseas Universities. You will be creative, honest and free of other commitments to work long time hours to drive critical student recruitment to overseas University transfer targets. Also, you will need to have good communication skills and academic background with recognised Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing or in a related field.

Ideal candidate must have strong public relation and interpersonal skills to work with confidence having an in-depth knowledge and experience in immigration rules related to student visa processing while regularly updating with the visa application guidelines and be able to:

1. Assist our students to launch applications to our partner Universities to get the offer of Place
2. Handle online applications to other overseas Universities for direct placements
3. Guide students and their parents for visa applications and supporting documents.
4. Work with updated Immigration rules and boarder procedures in related overseas countries
5. Assist students for document preparation and online visa application.
6. Coordinate academic and research matters and liaise with overseas collaborations.
7. Assist with the promotional activities of the campus by participating exhibitions, school visits, seminars and meetings to recruit students.
8. Support GISM for Marketing, Brand promotion and development activities in general.
