Programme Overview

Bachelor of Science degree in New Zealand Massey University provides students with required knowledge and training in Microbiology area to be suited working in Microbiology research, testes and applications in industry.

GISM conducts Diploma in Science which is the Massey University degree first year pathway programme. On completion of this course (120 credits) students can apply for the second year of the Microbiology – Bachelor of Science degree at Massey University in New Zealand and join second year of the related major to study second and third years. From the Second year, you can select Microbiology as your major degree specialization. Career Prospects

GISM Campus will issue a Diploma qualification of 120 credits upon successful completion of the first year studies in Sri Lanka. Bachelor of Science Degree is awarded by Massey University upon successful completion of remaining 240 credits in New Zealand. 

The degree programmes are full time: Commencing in February /July/October  every year. 

University Preparatory Programme – An induction programme get ready for the University Life, commences in January and June to provide the necessary skills for school leavers to begin their studies at the university. This programme is delivered at a concessional fee for all registered students.

Earning Capacity

Work during studies: New Zealand allows 25 hours of part-time work during studies and 2-3 months of full-timework during holidays. Assumption: NZD 22 per hour earning capacity during studies.

Post study work: After graduation, you are able to apply for graduate post study work visa which allows you to remain in New Zealand and work full-time in your chosen career. Assumption: NZD 60000.00 annual earning at a full-time work can be expected.
